Introduction

Dorset based Company - Philip Trim Contractors has spent over 23 years in the Agricultural Business which have seen the Company grow from strength to strength.

Philip Trim started out on his own aged just 19 years old after gaining a craftsman grade at college, he worked long hours with a number of Silage syndicates in the area, helping out whenever, wherever he was required. He took advantage of this and bought a David Brown 1212 Tractor and an old buckrake for £20 which he restored. During the Winter months, Philip would lay concrete and drive a digger, until he was old enough to take his HGV Licence. After which he delivered animal feed to farms where he met the farmers and made useful contacts. He also found an old hedge trimmer and spent weekends trimming farm hedges, building a reputation for jobs well done.

The turning point in his career came when he was able to secure finance to buy a CASE 1255 Tractor and Conventional Baler. His ultimate goal was to have his own Silaging outfit - so he worked for other contractors and traded in Hay and Straw from the field to turn his dream.

The business has steadily grown over the years covering Dorset, Somerset, Wiltshire & Hampshire. With steady investment, reliable up to date kit with short term finance means the company is able to own the equipment by the time it needs replacing, thus ensuring the success of the business.
